Big movers and shakers Social Media Charts SXSW by Tribemonitor.
New Music Labs proudly presents the Social Media Charts South By Southwest 2010 part 2
With our Tribemonitor service we track all artists playing SWSW 2010 on loads of different social media like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube Channels, Myspace, Hyves, Last.fm, Flickr & Delicious. This data generates a Social Score for every artist. The Social Score determines their place on our Social Media Chart.
Every datasource has a different weight in the Social Score. For instance a friend on Myspace has a different value than a play on Last.fm. The Social Score grows exponentially. Which means it’s much harder to improve your social score from a social score 19 to 20 than it is from 4 to 5.
Big movers and shakers!
As you can see in the chart: ‘The Dillinger Escape Plan’ and ‘Attack Attack!’ are doing a really good job on their social presence this week. ‘TDEP’ gained 15 places and ‘Attack Attack! gained 13 places. Newcomers in the chart this week are ‘We Are Scientists’ and ‘Erik Hassle’. Do you know why these bands gained so many places, just leave a comment with your thoughts about this.
